Single Mom Sunday! Special Mother's Day Edition!

I really would like to every Sunday start a 'Single Mom Sunday' where I showcase stories of different strong single moms.  What better day to start then on Mother's Day?   And Mother's Day can be a very hard day for single moms because in most cases, there is nobody to help relieve them or help guide their kids to show them appreciation.  So my first edition, I really wanted to spotlight someone very dear to my heart. 

My friend, Shannon, is truly one of the strongest women I know.   She was thrown into single mommyhood through unexpected loss of marriage.  But this woman, she handled it with so much strength and dignity, it always baffles me!   She dedicates herself 100% to the life of her three adorable boys.   She rarely ever gets a break and hardly ever complains about it.   She doesnt let emotional pain stop her from being a positive influence on not just her boys, but everyone around her!   Even with a full plate, she is the type of woman who if you need help, she will truly do everything she can to help you.   She homeschools her boys and works so hard to give them a good education and even makes it fun!   She works around all sorts of food allergies and never complains!  She can cook, she can bake, she can sew, and she even manages to keep her apartment clean!   This woman even does cloth diapers people!    She is a super saver when it comes to budgeting her money.  I honestly feel like I can go on and on about her!   She amazes me every day I get to see her or talk to her!  I truly think she is Wonder Woman in real life form!  Do you know one day she actually got up late, got all three boys ready, and made it to school within like 15 minutes?!?!?   I am still amazed at that!

Shannon, I know your journey has been tough.   I know there are countless days when you feel unloved and unappreciated.   You have done an outstanding job at raising your three cuties!   I want you to know that people see you and are amazed constantly!  I truly feel honored to call you one of my closest friends!  I truly do not know what I would do without you in my corner.   You are such an inspiration to me, way more then you realize!  I love you!
