Beautiful vs. Hot

I had the pleasure of going to a planned purity parenting conference by my wonderful friend Jennie Bishop who I have the pleasure of working with too!   She spoke on something that really stuck out to me and have been thinking about.  In our culture, we like to call each other 'HOT'.  I am guilty of this myself, I often refer to my girlfriends and even myself sometimes as hotties.  But that term has something to do with our sexuality when you really think about it.....  ponder that for a second.  However, on the flip side of that, when we call one another 'BEAUTIFUL' what does that represent?   It stands not just for the outward appearance, but the inside too!  It means everything about you represents beauty, that someone is attracted to ALL of you.

I tend to get hit on by guys quite a bit at times.  Hey!  Who needs high heels when you have blonde hair!?!?  (Im just kidding!  Well, sort of...).   Sad thing is, most of them are creeps or much older or much younger, not ones Id be interested in when that time comes for me.   We all like to be complimented though if we are honest.   And when a guy calls me hot or something like it, even though it makes you feel a little good, it also kinda creeps you out.   However, when someone calls you beautiful, that is an extremely flattering comment!  SO GUYS!  Pay attention!  GIRLS!!!!   Look for that THAT kind of person!  Also, MAKE YOURSELF that kind of person!!!!   Just saying....

Now, I am sure I will still refer to my girlfriends as hotties at times, but I also want to make sure I also tell them all how beautiful they are, because I really do have some BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS!!
