Speak Life

This week I had a really bad day.   I felt personally attacked and had a lot of not so nice words spoken to me.   Even though I knew there was absolutely no truth to those words, they still cut deep and really hurt.  That day there were a lot of tears coming.   You see, we forget the power of our words, whether it be spoken or written.  Although, there are people out there who do not forget that and seem to use it as a weapon.   Here is the AMAZING thing though.   As much as our words can be used as a weapon and cause a lot of pain, they can also be used as a way to speak life, to speak love, and to speak hope into each other!   As the day went on, I also had something amazing happen, I had a couple awesome people use their words to completely turn my day around!  They had no clue how bad that day was going for me or how down I felt (OK, one of them did).   But through compliments, affirmation, jokes, and laughs....I was able to regroup and be reminded I got this.   I truly am blessed to have some awesome people in my life who are so great at that.  I want to be that person!  I want to be known as someone who speaks life into those around me.....friends and strangers!  We never know how much impact a smile or a friendly hello can mean to someone!
