The Perfect Date

OK, so a few weeks ago, I discovered one of my favorite places ever to visit.   There is a state park on the beach in Palm Coast (FL) called Washington Oaks.   On one side of the park, there are a bunch of gardens (that I still haven't gotten to explore but REALLY want to) and on the other is the most amazing beach ever.  I literally feel like I am in another country.   There are tons of HUGE rocks and boulders all over the beach!   There are little caves and tidal pools all through out them.  And it is the perfect beach for people who like to look for shells (I LOVE TO!).

Today I finally got to take my kids.   I was kinda in a weird mood because of some pretty crappy stuff that had already happened that day before we got there.  Any body of water puts me into a very calm but reflective mood, but the ocean is my heaven on earth.   Today I was reflecting on my past and the hopes for my future.

As we were walking along the beach, I came to some very adorable couples!   I had the first time I went there thought how awesome of a date that would be if the time ever came.   The first couple were sitting there on the rocks with their Florida Gator Tervis Tumblers (anyone who knows me well knows I am crazy about my Tervis Tumblers!  And Gators?  WOOT WOOT!) and you could tell they were just so content to be there enjoying each others company at the beautiful beach.   They would sit for a while then move to another rock and do the same.  It was so cute!   The next couple were laying out in the sun propped up against a rock both enjoying a good book, but clearly happy to just be there together in silence.    Yet another couple were both layed out on the beach tanning just laughing away at who knows what (quite possibly my goofy kids!).   Then the best was an elderly couple walking hand in hand and she has a little net bag and they were looking for shells together.   Melted my heart!   I still hope that will be me one day!  Some day in the future!

So if Mr. Prince Charming is watching, when you ride up on your rainbow horse (a white horse is too boring for me) one day, take me to that beach with our very hip Tervis Tumblers and collect shells and laugh with me, OK?   :-P

PS, I bet some of you read this out of pure nosiness just to see if I went on some amazing date already, didn't you?   Hahahahaha.   Nope.   Just me living in the future dreams of Tamlando!
